Microsoft Office - Word 2007: For students who are interested in learning how to create documents such as letters, term papers, and resumes using Microsoft Word 2007.
This two-part course will reinforce your basic computer skills and cover many of the features of Microsoft Word 2007, as we create and save documents in this word processing application.
This is NOT a typing class. Students should have a basic knowledge of Windows as well as good keyboard and mousing skills. Course includes the use of basic text functions, print preview, tables, pictures & objects, and much more.
Part 1 - We begin by reviewing the components of the Microsoft Word Window including Office Button functions, Quick Access Toolbar, and the Status Bar. We'll examine the Ribbon in detail reviewing common command groups and options. The class will learn how to start a new document, open and edit existing documents, as well as how to save their work. The class will finish by working with text, changing fonts, colors and other attributes.
Part 2 - After a brief review of part 1 and how to use the built-in Help facility, we'll pick up with formatting paragraphs (indentation, tabs), as well as the document (margins, watermarks, headers and footers) and finish the day reviewing the built-in help facility.
Part 3 - Topics include Correction and Editing Tools (find, replace, spell check), Print the document, creating lists, using tables to organize information, Working with lists as well as inserting pictures and graphics.
