Upper Perk Bike Share Program

Bike Share bikes have arrived for the season! Did you know those red bikes in front of the library are for public use? Ask our front desk staff how you can borrow one for the day. It's free! The Bike Share program is sponsored by the Partnership Transportation Management Association of Montgomery County.

Armed Forces Day Event

Saturday, May 18th 10am-2pm

Support your local military by attending this special program. Local writer and Marine, Clyde Hoch, will sign and sell his new book, A Tribute To Tankers.

Clyde will be joined by numerous military throughout the event including... actor David Forsyth, Gold Star Mothers, Rolling Thunder, John Wear/President of the USMC Vietnam Tankers Association, and veterans of the Iraq War.

Library Closed on Memorial Day

The Upper Perkiomen Valley Library will be closed on Monday, May 27, 2013 in observance of Memorial Day. The library will reopen at 10:00am on Tuesday, May 28.

Although the library doors will be locked, you can still reserve and renew materials online, or return materials by placing them in our drop box by the main entrance to the library.

Cavalry at The Battle of Gettysburg

Wednesday, June 5 @ 7:00pm

To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg, Civil War Re-enactor Chuck Faust will present a lecture on a part of the battle that was strictly cavalry. Maj. Gen. J.E.B. Stuart faced Custer and his Michigan Wolverines! This is a battle that even visitors to Gettysburg seldom get told about. Chuck will also bring clothing, accouterments and original articles from the time period.
