1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

Are you the parent, grandparent or caregiver of a child who is not yet in Kindergarten? We have a GREAT program for you and the child in your life...

1,000 BOOKS BEFORE KINDERGARTEN is a program to help get children exposed to books and story time before they start Kindergarten and to promote reading with children. The more children are exposed to books at home, the more ready they will be for reading & school.

◊ If you read three stories a day, your child will have read over 1,000 books in One Year

It's really simple! All you have to do is...

◊ Register at the Library and pick up your Booklog

◊ Color a picture in the booklog for every book read

◊ Bring the booklog in after you've colored 100 pictures to get a sticker

◊ After you've read 500 books, we will put your name on our I've Read 500 Books Wall of Fame

◊ After you've finished 1,000 books, your child will get a plethora of prizes and honors!

This free program has no end date, just try to finish before they begin Kindergarten!
